Nifty hits record high, Sensex up 90 points

Continuing the gaining momentum, the key domestic benchmark indices rallied up during the morning session of trade. The 30-share benchmark index, Sensex was up 90 points, while Nifty hits a record high of 7803.65 buoyed by positive global cues and gains in heavyweights like L&T, ICICI Bank, ITC and Infosys.
At 10:12AM BSE SENSEX was at 26116.29, up by 90.49 points or by 0.35 per cent, while the NSE Nifty was at 7803.65, up by 35.8 points or by 0.46 per cent.
The BSE MIDCAP was at 9350.56, up by 39.47 points or by 0.42 per cent, while the BSE SMLCAP was at 10301.59 up by 32.83 points or by 0.32 per cent.
The BSE Sensex touched an intraday high of 26188.64 and an intraday low of 26097.84, while the NSE Nifty touched an intraday high of 7806.05 and an intraday low of 7784.8.
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 3307.05,+2.22%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 191.00,+1.46%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1502.95,+1.33%), State Bank of India (Rs. 2554.00,+1.19%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2559.80,+1.14%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Power Company Ltd. (Rs. 103.15,-1.15%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 148.55,-0.83%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 743.80,-0.77%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 350.90,-0.67%), Coal India Ltd. (Rs. 385.10,-0.48%), among others.
Among the sectors, In BSE, BSE_IT index was at 9667.15 up by 125.78 points or by 1.32%. MindTree Ltd. (Rs. 985.00,+2.89%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 3307.05,+2.22%), Persistent Systems Ltd.
