Govt to frame Youth Policy for Sikkim: Youth Affairs Minister

Sikkim government would soon be framing its Youth Policy keeping in mind the welfare of the youths, said the media report. State Youth Affairs and Sports minister R B Subba said on the sideline of the opening ceremony of the 45th Working Committee Meeting of Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) that the Sikkim Youth Development Board has recently been formed which will soon be followed by the framing of the Sikkim Youth Policy. He urged the youths to work towards becoming socially responsible people, added the media report. Subba said that the people of Sikkim share a good relationship with Tibetans in the state and would continue to do so. Earlier, TYC president Tenzing Jigme said since its formation in 1970, the TYC has been working for the welfare of the Tibetan community.
