Maharastra launches property e-registration

Maharashtra Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat has launched the e-registration facility to register properties online, as per the Business Standard report. Further, the facility is applicable in housing society with more than 200 members (houses), where members can avail the facility of doing the registration of their property 'online' from the builder’s office. Commenting on the launch, Balasaheb Thorat, said, "Under the process, users will not have to go the registration offices and can save their time. Aadhar card number of the buyer and seller will be required for it." He further added that various measures and initiatives undertaken by the revenue department were giving desired results and the department had fetched maximum revenue in 2013-14, after the State Excise department. Commenting on the occasion, Inspector General Registration and Controller of Stamps, Mayur Shah said, 25-30 builders from Mumbai Metropolitan Region are soon going to start the service at their offices
