RBI cancels license of The Mirzapur Urban Co-operative Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cancelled the licence of The Mirzapur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh t following which it would not be able to conduct business. "The Reserve Bank of India has, on September 1, 2014, cancelled the licence of The Mirzapur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh to carry on banking business under Section 22 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949,” RBI said in a notification. However, the RBI did not provide any reasons for the cancellation.
