Currencies:
The USD depreciated against the Euro by 0.27% for week ended 30th May 2014. The euro edged
higher against the dollar on Friday as investors positioned them for the possibility that the European
Central Bank may not ease monetary policy as much as expected next week.
The dollar depreciated against the yen by 0.21% for the week ended 30th May 2014. The dollar slid
to one‐week lows against the yen on Thursday as falling U.S. Treasury yields pressured the dollar
lower and investors awaited updated first quarter growth figures from the U.S. later in the session.
The USD appreciated against the Pound by 0.45% for the week ended 30th May 2014. Sterling slid to
a six‐week low against the dollar on Wednesday, pressured by a broad rally in the U.S. currency and
signs that the red‐hot British housing market may be starting to cool.
The US dollar appreciated against the rupee by 0.94% for the week ended 30th May 2014. The rupee
extended losses this week, against the dollar, dragged down by month‐end importer demand of the
US currency
