12 Indian firms in Forbes top 50 Asia-Pacific companies

India Inc. is fast making its presence felt in the global arena with twelve Indian companies being ranked among the 50 best public firms in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Forbes 2014’honour roll of the Fabulous 50’ which lists 50 of Asia Pacific’s best public companies features the likes of Indian IT majors Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HCL Technologies and private sector bank HDFC Bank, Forbes said, the PTI reported.
China had 16 companies on the list of Forbes top 50 best Asia-Pacific publicly traded companies, down from 20 last year.
Apart from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HCL Technologies and HDFC Bank, the other Indian firms on the list are Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Lupin, Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), Mothersome Sumi Systems, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra and Titan.
TCS, the country’s biggest IT services software exporter made it to the top 50 Asia-Pacific list for the seventh time while Tech Mahindra made its debut on the list this year.
"Long dependent on the US market, (TCS) may soon generate more than half its revenue outside the US," the publication said
