Telangana comes into existence as 29th state; KC Rao sworn in as first

After decades of struggle, Telangana today came into existence as India’s 29th state while the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has taken oath as first Chief Minister of of the state, reported PTI. Now, Telangana has its own separate entity from Andhra Pradesh. On Monday morning, KC Rao along with his son K T Rama Rao, nephew T Harish Rao and nine others have taken oath in the presence of Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan premises. The other nine cabinet ministers who took oath today are- Mohammed Mahmood Ali, T Rajaiah, Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Eatela Rajender, Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, T Padma Rao, P Mahender Reddy, Jogu Ramanna and G Jagadish Reddy. People of Telangana are celebrating this historical day with full joy. The Prime Minster Narendra Modi congratulated KC Rao after becoming the first CM of the state and also assured full cooperation from the centre.
