India Post, Snapdeal partners to sell stamp and
collections

State-owned postal agency India Post has entered into a partnership with Snapdeal, an online marketplace provider, to sell its stamps and collections through internet, as per PTI report.
Through the current deal, India Post will be able to reach out to large number of stamp buyers. These stamps will be priced between Rs 300 to Rs 5,500.
Commenting on the deal, Snapdeal, Co-founder and COO, Rohit Bansal told PTI that, “While stamp collection has been a popular hobby, we found consumers who said they found it difficult to buy stamps. India Post has an amazing collection of stamps that we feel we our consumers will be delighted to have.”
Further, on the partnership Department of Posts, Secretary, Kavery Banerjee, said that, “Miniature works of art, documenting human history and endeavours, cultures, traditions and national heritage, postage stamps can be window to the world. The partnership with Snapdeal will enhance the ease of purchasing philatelic stamps and products on the Internet at the click of a button.
