Sensex opens higher, led by consumer durable stocks

The Indian benchmark was trading in green in the early session of day's trade. Consumer durable sector stocks were on the rise with PC Jeweller leading the pack followed by Rajesh Exports, TTK Prestige, Videocon Industries and Whirlpool of India. At 9:32AM BSE SENSEX was at 25143.74 up by 38.23 points or by 0.15 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 0 down by -7511.45 points or by -100 per cent.
The BSE MIDCAP was at 9024.74 up by 62.78 points or by 0.7 per cent. while the BSE SMLCAP was at 9838.62 up by 77.4 points or by 0.79 per cent
The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 1556 , shares advanced were 1062 while 432 shares declined and 62 were unchanged
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 426.10,+2.01 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2544.95,+0.99 per cent), Tata Power Company Ltd. (Rs. 102.20,+0.84 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (Rs. 240.80,+0.77 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 340.90,+0.77 per cent), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 332.10,-1.13 per cent), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 3278.90,-1.11 per cent), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 534.75,-0.30 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 2169.20,-0.25 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (Rs. 423.60,-0.21 per cent), among others
Among the sectoral indices on BSE, BSE_CDS index was at 8583.52 up by 94.54 points or by 1.11 per cent. PC Jeweller Ltd. (Rs. 114.05,+4.63 per cent), Rajesh Exports Ltd. (Rs. 189.00,+4.07 per cent), TTK Prestige Ltd. (Rs. 3649.90,+1.69 per cent), Videocon Industries Ltd. (Rs. 182.35,+1.19 per cent), Whirlpool of India Ltd. (Rs. 309.00,+1.01 per cent),.
