* ASIAN PAINTS: The company's net profit grew 11.5% on year to 2.67 bln rupees in
Jan-Mar, and income from operations rose 21.3% to 26.87 bln rupees.

* AVANTEL: Board has approved buyback of shares.

* BAJAJ AUTO: Workers at the company's Chakan facility have called off the strike
scheduled to begin Thursday.

* BAJAJ FINANCE: Has posted Jan-Mar net profit at 1.82 bln rupees, up 11.2% on year,
and income from operations at 10.03 bln rupees, up 28.8%. The company plans to boost
consumer lending business after it failed to get a bank licence.

* BAJAJ FINSERV: Has posted Jan-Mar net profit at 7.08 bln rupees, down 22.5% on
year, and income from operations at 20.50 bln rupees, up 1.7%.

* CAIRN INDIA: The company expects substantial gas production from its oil-rich
Rajasthan block in next three years and has floated global tenders for setting up a natural
gas transportation pipeline and a gas processing terminal.

* DEEPAK FERTLISERS AND PETROCHEMICALS: Government has stopped supply
of domestic natural gas to the company saying its manufactures non-subsidised crop
nutrients and as such should not get the cheaper fuel.

* GABRIEL INDIA: Posted Jan-Mar net profit at 83.3 mln rupees on net sales of 3.3 bln
rupees.

* GAMMON INDIA: Posted Jan-Mar net profit loss at 1.73 bln rupees compared to a
loss of 1.19 bln rupees a year ago. Net sales fell 30.1% on year to 11.41 bln rupees.

* GLENMARK PHARMACEUTICALS: Sanofi SA has terminated a licensing deal
signed with the company in 2010 for a novel chronic pain management drug candidate,
GRC 15300 after the new chemical entity failed the Phase 2 proof-of-concept trial.

* GUJARAT ALKALIES CHEMICALS: Has reported net profit at 647.2 mln rupees for
Jan-Mar, down 19.8% on year, and net sales at 4.99 bln rupees, up 8.6%.

* HINDUSTAN CONSTRUCTION: The company's subsidiary HCC Concessions has
started toll operations on the 11.69-bln-rupee Baharampore Farakka road in West Bengal.

* INFO EDGE: The company's management has said it would continue to invest in
99acres.com.

* INFOSYS: Faced with high level of attrition, the company is going all out to strengthen
its HR initiatives to reverse the trend of exits.

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: The company has categorically told buyers of KG-D6 gas
that new rates will be applicable from Apr 1.

* TATA MOTORS: Has won an order from SVVL Connect to supply 2,000 passenger
vehicles over a year. Has launched three heavy trucks from its Prima range in Qatar.

* TECH MAHINDRA: Has posted Jan-Mar net profit of 6.14 bln rupees, up 62.8% on
year, and net sales of 50.58 bln rupees, up 165.2%.

* TATA STEEL: Has posted Jan-Mar consolidated net profit of 10.36 bln rupees against
a loss of 65.28 bln rupees a year ago, and net sales of 420.18 bln rupees, up 22.8% on
year. On a standalone basis, the company posted Jan-Mar net profit of 19.79 bln rupees,
up 51.1% on year, and net sales of 120.42 bln rupees, up 13.15% on year. The company
which produces 17 mln tn iron ore annually from its captive mines in Odisha and
Jharkhand, imported a shipload of iron ore from Australia last month.

* TV TODAY: Jan-Mar net profit up 149.36% on-year to 158.54 mln rupees, while sales
rose 15.10% to 969.39 mln rupees.

* RASHTRIYA CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS: The company has appointed R.H.
Kulkarni as its chief financial officer.

* REI AGRO: UNITED BANK OF INDIA has filed a wind-up notice on the company
for non-payment of dues worth 2.24 bln rupees.

* VAIBHAV GLOBAL: Has posted Jan-mar consolidated net profit of 367.63 mln
rupees compared to a loss of 1.39 bln rupees and net sales of 3.60 bln rupees, up 58.3%
on year.

* WINSOME DIAMONDS: The company, which owes 60 bln rupees to a consortium of
15 lenders, may be declared a wilful defaulter soon.

* WIPRO: Has won a seven-year contract to provide enterprise applications and solutions
