Ministry of Tourism launches web-based public delivery system
In a major step towards streamlining the public delivery system for travel trade service providers, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT), Government of India has launched a web-based delivery system called E-Travel Trade Recognition for processing and approval of applications for recognition of service providers. The objective of the system is to ease the process of filing applications by the Travel Trade Service Providers seeking recognition from the Ministry of Tourism and also to bring in transparency in granting the approvals. The platform, www.etraveltradeapproval.nic.in will receive applications from service providers like inbound tour operators, travel agents, domestic tour operators, adventure tour operators and tourist transport operators. All applications will be examined, processed and approved or rejected within 45 days from the date of receipt of complete applications.
