Sensex pares gains amid profit booking

The domestic bourses pared some of its gains during the late morning trade. At 11:17AM BSE SENSEX was at 24342.89 down by 20.16 points or by 0.08 percent and then NSE Nifty was at 7259.75 down by 3.8 points or by 0.05 percent. Realty, Consumer durables and metals were up whereas oil & gas stocks registered a fall. The Asian markets are establishing firm gains.
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 465.35,+3.12%), Sesa Sterlite Ltd. (Rs. 233.90,+2.79%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 3090.00,+2.22%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 491.30,+2.04%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 2322.90,+1.74%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Coal India Ltd. (Rs. 371.05,-4.77%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 404.00,-2.98%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1088.00,-2.88%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2381.05,-2.59%), State Bank of India (Rs. 2520.00,-1.95%), among others.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2536, shares advanced were 1655 while 778 shares declined and 103 were unchanged.
