* COAL INDIA: The company may take a majority stake in a railway project in
Mozambique, which will help the company to transport coal from its mines to
the nearest port.
* ESSAR SHIPPING: Leman Management, through Leman Diversified Fund, today
bought 3.8 mln shares of the company at 25 rupees per share on the National Stock
Exchange and the BSE.
* GATI: The company plans to sell a minority stake to fund expansion.
* GUJARAT FLUOROCHEMCIALS: The company's subsidiary, Inox Wind, bagged
9-bln-rupee order for a 170 MW project in Madhya Pradesh.
* Hero MotoCorp: Aberdeen Asset Management Asia has sold 117,000 shares, or
0.12% stake, of the company on Jun 11.The company plans to set up a plant in South
India to cater to the domestic market and take its overall annual capacity to 12 mln units.
* HINDUSTAN MOTORS: The West Bengal government has asked the management to
submit a detailed package for its closed Uttarpara plant in the next two days.
 The company agreed to clear the back wages of employees at its Uttarpara plant.
* Jaypee Infratech: The environment ministry is meeting officials from Haryana and
Uttar Pradesh in order to resolve the real estate logjam in Noida affecting the company.
* KINGFISHER AIRLINES: India Global Competitive Fund has invoked pledge on
59.15 mln, or 7.31% stake, of UNITED BREWERIES HOLDINGS in the company.
* KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK: Will seek shareholders approval to hike investment
limit for foreign institutional investors in the bank to 40% from 37% at its annual general
meeting on Jul 16. The company will seek shareholder approval to re-appoint Uday
Kotak.
* LANCO INFRATECH: The Karnataka Government is mulling legal action against
the company's 1,200 MW Udipi Power Corp if it does not resume power generation.
* LUPIN: Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has reached settlements with the company and
three other companies for selling the generic version of Nuvigil.* MOSER BAER INDIA: Arm Moser Baer Solar has commissioned a 32.2 MW solar
plant in Gujarat. * MAHANAGAR TELEPHONE NIGAM: The government will initiate steps to revive
the company and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: Is considering building a manufacturing plant in
Brazil to get around tariff barriers recently introduced by the South American country,
Executive Director and President Pawan Goenka said.
Is developing a new utility vehicle for India and other global markets at its newly set up
Mahindra North American Technical Centre in Detroit, US and the vehicle is likely to be
launched in 2017.
* NATIONAL FERTILIZERS: The government has sold 1.4 mln shares in the company
to employees on Jun 10 for 36 mln rupees.
* POWER: Private producers have sought power minister Piyush Goyal's intervention to
ensure that the tendering for Odisha and Tamil Nadu ultra-mega projects is put on hold
pending a comprehensive review of bidding norms.
* PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK: Chairman and Managing Director K.R. Kamath said
interest rates are unlikely to come down in the next two-three months.
* RAILWAYS: Railway Ministry is likely to announce 100% foreign direct
investment and more investor friendly public-private-partnership model for
the sector in the railway budget.
* SOLAR INDUSTRIES INDIA: Is seeking shareholder approval to enter into the
projects business, wherein the company will undertake turnkey contracts on build-own- operate-transfer basis from government or private parties.

for nearly 20 bln rupees and final decision is expected next week.
