Natural Gas futures flat amid mild weather

Natural Gas futures ended on a flat note in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators stayed cautious over booking fresh positions in the energy commodity as investors stayed jittery ahead of weekly US supplies data. Further, forecasts for milder weather in some US regions dimmed the demand outlook for the fuel which is used to fire up air conditioners. Latest weather forecasts called for cooler-than-average temperatures in the US Midwest and Texas over the next five days. At the MCX, Natural gas futures for June 2014 contract closed at Rs. 269.30 per mmBtu, unchanged, after opening at Rs 269.70, against the previous closing price of Rs 269.30. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 268.20.
