Zomato buys Poland's Gastronauci

Zomato, an online restaurant search and discovery services provider, has acquired Gastronauci.pl, Poland's restaurant search service provider, to expand its footprints in the European market, said the PTI report.
In the last three months, Zomato has acquired fourth company globally as part of its ongoing expansion strategy. In July, the company had acquired New Zealand- based restaurant search service MenuMania. In the month of August, Zomato acquired Lunchtime.cz of Czech Republic and Slovakia’s Obedovat.sk.
Commenting on the acquisition, Zomato, Founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal said, “Both Zomato and Gastronauci are committed towards building the best platform possible to connect users and the restaurant industry. We are excited to work on building an integrated product combining our technology with Gastronauci's exhaustive reach in Poland.”
Further, the team at Gastronauci will be working closely with the Zomato team following this acquisition, Zomato said.
"This is an exciting new chapter for us and we look forward to working with Zomato and use their technology and product expertise to bring a new enhanced experience for both consumers and merchants," Gastronauci, Founder and CEO, Ola Lazar said.
However, the amount of transaction was not disclosed.
